Witnesses sought for suspected domestic assault
Police are appealing for information regarding a violent domestic argument that took place in St Helier on the evening of Friday, 20th September.
Between approximately 8.55pm and 9.10pm a man and woman in their 30s walked through town arguing. It is alleged that the man repeatedly assaulted the woman during this, in full public view.
The pair are known to have walked from the area of CHAMBERS to BERESFORD STREET via HILL STREET, HALKETT PLACE, QUEEN STREET and HALKETT STREET. There were members of the public in the area, with some people intervening on HALKETT STREET.
The man was wearing a grey t-shirt and dark workman’s trousers. The women was in a black top and trousers.
Police would like to speak to anyone who saw this argument and can provide any information about exactly what happened. This includes drivers who passed the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage.
