Search for missing person continues with targeted approach
The search for missing man Adam McGrath (58) continues today.
Efforts continue on the ground, where specially trained officers are targeting areas of interest on the headland around Grosnez and further east towards Plemont. Search and rescue teams are being assisted by partner agencies with specialist equipment, including Jersey Fire & Rescue crews and Air Rescue Channel Islands.
Investigating officers continue to piece together Adam’s movements prior to his going missing.
After leaving his home in Rue Du Maupertuis, St Clement at 05:30 on Monday morning, officers believe Adam drove towards Gorey and then took a route across the north of the Island to Grosnez, where the car, a white Ford Fiesta Zetec, was later found.
Residents who live on arterial routes across the north of the island are asked to check any footage from video doorbells or dashcams for sightings of Adam, or the white Ford Fiesta Zetec he was driving.
We also ask residents close to Grosnez and Plemont to remain vigilant for sightings of Adam and to check their gardens and outbuildings.
We understand that the public may be keen to assist in the search, but we continue to ask that they keep the area clear to allow the search and rescue efforts to continue unhindered.
Adam is described as a white man with white hair, approximately 5 feet nine inches tall and of broad build. He is thought to be wearing a black or navy short-sleeved top, dark grey or black wide legged tracksuit bottoms (either Lonsdale, Adidas make), and black Skechers.
Police would like to speak to anyone who had contact with Adam in the last week to come forward and call on 01534 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
